Default A Simple idea to help improve metagame.

Functionality Change:

Cure Hexes: Removes 2 Hexes. Target gains +12.....21...35 Health per hex removed this way. Still same cast time/recharge.

You guys mixed up the game with amount of hexes available, which isn't a bad thing, but now you have to answer to the epic QQe'rs so I can stop reading the horrid 9 paragraph threads related to 'LIKE ZOMFG SOMEONE BROUGHT HEXES ON SKILL BAR WE R LOSE RIGHT AWAY'.

All Sarcasm aside, do consider this idea if you could.

EDIT: I do see that some admins and other people have looked at this thread, and I know you guys get just as tired of seeing retarded shit as I do, albeit I speak like a sailor and do flame at times, give me some feedback on this idea. If it is hard to implement or if there is a viable arguement against this let me know so I can think about something else. This isn't some off the wall retarded 'I want Guild Wars to be my little fantasy so change game mechanics' shitter post. This is a legit idea that I have discussed with around 30 or so other members of my PvP community, not the weirdos on Guru.

Hexes play a strong role in damaging, doing that would be like reducing the duration of Empathy to 5.

Really no point.

Good point, but you do have to look at the way metagame is adjusting for the amount of buffed hexes in the last week. Like I said, the hexes do not need a nerf, but when one can apply a snare, -9 degen, 30 DPS, and still have res/block/interrupts on their bar, it is pushing the limit

I'm not talking about Seeping Wound. Ethereal Burden -> Conjure Phantasm -> IoP -> Glimmering Mark. And thats just one issue, add in other common hexes with shame/guilt, diversion, backfire. The issue gets deeper. That is one reason I made this post for, and I do agree with you to a point.

Ghoul: Dont say no and provide no alternative/reason. That just makes you look not smart.

Edit: Causing most classes to bring this new buffed version of cure hex like your assuming, rather then just the normal monks, would cause every class to run x/mo20. That in of itself would damage most viable builds, therefore hurting your arguement that empathy/backfire would be so easily removed as to not make a difference in gameplay.

It is always a bad idea to overpower a skill to counter another overpowered skill.

Also, passive hexes are boring to play and are boring to play against, it's better to nerf them instead of buffing its counters.

Divert Hexes, Peace and Harmony, Expel Hexes, Withdraw Hexes, Convert Hexes, Deny Hexes, Spotless Mind, Contemplation of Purity, Purge Signet, Pious Restoration

Empathic Removal, Blessed Light, Signet of Removal, Hex Eater Vortex, Avatar of Dwayna, Cure Hex, Inspired/Revealed Hex, Shatter Hex, Remove Hex, Hex Eater Signet, Hexbreaker Aria, Holy Veil, Reverse Hex, Smite Hex

Hope I didn't miss any. List at the top is the ones that remove more than 1 hex. Quite a few, several that are not even elite. Bottom list is the single hex removers, and again, several that are not elite. I hardly see hex removal skills lacking, and they have already buffed some of those skills, and added to the list. If you want more hex removal, adjust your build. I don't see a need for 1 skill to be changed when there are already plenty of options that do what that change does, and several that do it better.

Good point. Now go tell all the flamers that want unconditional /redbar easy mode. This was to make a remove hexes skill available much like a remove conditions skill is. You prove a good point, and in that fact, ditch this thread mods.

/notsigned. Hex Removal isn't an issue in this game.

This.

If something in the game is overpowered, you should nerf it.
